BEVI. DIMENTICA. OBBEDISCI.
ALMA Acoustic's second album: ten songs that look at the present with a careful eye, a gentle critique of today's frantic pace, between irony, memory and digital frenzy.

ALMA Acoustic was founded in 2021 in Lugano by Maurizio Podda and Orio Oliveri, with a clear artistic purpose: to bring original Italian-language pop songwriting to a Ticino music scene dominated by rock, covers and English. Five musicians who consciously choose to write, compose and sing in Italian, because language is an integral part of cultural identity. Their work is grounded in an explicit cultural manifesto against rockism, the widespread tendency in Ticino too to regard rock as inherently more authentic than pop, in defence of original Italian-language pop as a living and necessary cultural form in the Canton of Ticino.
The sound combines pop-rock immediacy with acoustic and folk roots, drawing on the tradition of Italian songwriters such as Daniele Silvestri, Max Gazzè, Brunori Sas and Dimartino, with a contemporary edge and a subtle streak of irony. The lyrics address the present: digital frenzy, human relationships, conformism, social hypocrisy. Live, the band plays across Ticino and Lombardy, with 30-35 shows a year.
In 2024 the band released its debut album "Tutti umani tutti uguali" (10 tracks, produced by Maurizio Podda and Orio Oliveri, recorded at Studio L89 in Porlezza, mixed and mastered by Luca Sven Macher). Singles "Coriandoli", "Non basterà la pioggia" and "Superpoteri" received airplay on RSI Rete Tre and Rete Uno. "Coriandoli" was selected as the soundtrack for the Swiss independent film "Herzog & Beck".
In 2025 the band won the Best Original Song Award at Ticino Bands Live Contest with "Parlami d'amore", performed at Hard Rock Cafe Milan, and was interviewed by Red Ronnie for "We Have a Dream" and by RSI Rete Tre for Local Heroes.
2026 marks the year of their second album: "BEVI. DIMENTICA. OBBEDISCI." out on 14 August 2026, preceded by the singles "Parlami d'amore", "Vita", "Il Fiume dell'Oblio" and "Arturo", explores the relationship between the individual and digital frenzy, and the rediscovery of slowness. The singles are played on all the main Ticino radio stations: RSI Rete Tre, RSI Rete Uno, Radio Swiss Pop, Radio3i and Radio Ticino. The same year ALMA Acoustic reaches the final of Cantagiro and the semi-final of Musica da Bere, and is a guest on Casa Svizzera (RSI Rete Uno), Radio Ticino's Music Club, "I tre tenori" on Radio3i and several video podcasts from Italian-speaking Switzerland. In Rome the band appears on Tiny Kitchen Sessions, an acoustic format that has featured artists such as Irene Grandi, Francamente, Shorty, Il Solito Dandy and Martina Attili. Many Swiss and Italian outlets have covered the band with articles, interviews and reviews.
